  • Ballet Summer Intensive July 7-11

    Theatre Arts Lab's Inaugural Ballet Intensive is happening this July! Accelerate your ballet training and learn from our master guest teachers! Our holistic approach to elevating your training this summer includes classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Lyrical, PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), Pilates, Stretching and Lymphatic Health and Wellness. *Students not yet en pointe can take class as a pre-pointe class to strengthen their feet and technique, or opt out and take an early lunch. Please contact us if you would like this option, and your tuition will be pro-rated to $319 for the Mon-Fri session. We are excited to welcome our guest teachers: Justin Sherwood, Marisa Paull Gorst and Raleigh Busser as well as our current staff of excellent ballet, wellness and dance instructions. Classes will be held Mon-Fri from 9:00am to 2:30 pm in our climate controlled studio with sprung floors. The classes will be appropriate for high school and adult students who have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of ballet at an advanced beginner through Intermediate Advanced level. Private coaching sessions will also be available in the hours after 2:30, and can be separately requested. Dancers will need appropriate footwear such as ballet flats and pointe shoes (optional), comfortable clothing to move in, as well as bringing their own snacks, lunch and beverages. Hair will need to be secured away from the face.

    Theatre Arts Lab's Inaugural Theatre Arts Intensive is happening this July! Accelerate your dance, voice, audition and acting training and learn from our master teachers! Our holistic approach to elevating your training this summer includes classes in Theatre Dance, Tap, Acting the Song, Monologue Workshop, Cold Reading Auditioning, Meisner Technique in Acting, and Creating Character. Learn from industry professionals, featuring theatre workshops with Broadway actress Mara Davi Gaines and casting workshops with casting director, Jenn Haltman. Classes will be held Sat & Sun from 9:00am to 5:00 pm in our climate controlled studio with sprung floors. Classes are appropriate for high school students through adults of any age. Private coaching sessions will also be available and can be separately requested. Students will need appropriate footwear such as ballet flats, jazz shoes and tap shoes, comfortable clothing to move in, as well as bringing a monologue to work on, and their own snacks, lunch and beverages.

  • Lymphatics/Joint Mobility Class

    This class is designed to assist students in movement for joint and lymphatic health. Taught by Caitlin Steeves, a Physical Therapist living and working in Cornwall, NY who loves empowering her patients and clients to move their bodies for health and wellness. Here is a run-down of what to expect: intro to light lymphatic drainage where together we utilize light massage and tapping techniques to maximize our amazing lymphatic system for health and wellness gentle and pain-free joint mobility top to bottom based upon PT principles for joint health and movement variety fun music! easy, no-pressure movement sequence utilizing our joint mobility work from earlier in the session - no dance experience required! She loves encouraging people to find FUN ways to move pain-free throughout the entire lifespan and to use the power of the Lymphatic System to optimise healthy function.i

  • Musical Theatre

    The Musical Theatre Class focuses on applying and bringing together singing, acting, and dancing songs and routines from Broadway repertoire.

  • Acting the Song

    Do you love to sing in your car, but feel shy singing in public? Are you preparing for a musical audition or performance? Do you want to feel more fabulous and confident while singing your favorite song? If so, then this 4-week class is for you! Each class will include group exercises focused on voice, movement, and storytelling, interspersed with individualized, private coachings in a safe (and celebratory!) class setting. What do you bring to class? 1-2 songs (or cuts of a song) that you would like to work on. The songs can be any genre you choose. A track or YouTube link to an accompaniment track to your song(s). Please also bring the sheet music if you have access to it. You should already know the songs (words and tune) when you arrive. That way you’ll be ready to dive into the storytelling of the song!

  • Open Level Tap

    Mixed Level: Beginners - Experienced Tappers aged 13+ are encouraged to join this class to strengthen technique and learn tap combinations. Perfect for musical theatre students and adults looking to further their tap training. Recommended Attire: Comfortable clothes, tap shoes.

  • Scene Study - Pulitzer Prize Winning Plays

    Ages 18 and up. This class for actors dives into an analysis of the work of Pulitzer Prize Plays through scene study. The Pulitzer Prize for Drama is an annual award given to a distinguished play written by an American author, preferably original in its source and dealing with American life, recognizing a theatrical work staged in the United States during the preceding year; In short, it honors the best new American play produced on stage in the United States Pulitzer Prize plays provide great, complex characters with extensive, emotional layers, allowing actors to practice nuanced acting techniques, explore difficult themes and develop a strong understanding of character motivation making it a valuable training ground for actors of all levels. You will be cast in one Pulitzer Prize role to work on in scene study in class. Then, for 5 weeks, we will explore the circumstances, and create these characters and find a way to relate to them. We will start with a breakdown of scripts, we’ll explore story events, context, character, intention and motivation. Chosen scenes will be workshopped, then presented to the group during throughout the class The focus of this class is to discover and nurture a creative self as a generative artist. Through exercises and prompts, you are urged to discover many means of expression and use the world around you, as well as your own experiences, as inspiration.

  • Beginner Ballet

    This class is for the adult who has no prior experience in ballet, or is returning to ballet after many years. Classical ballet technique with a focus on quality of movement and expression is taught at the barre and in the center with low impact on the body.

  • Beginner Pointe

    Class will focus on foundation of pointe work and developing strength and articulation of the feet on pointe. Suitable for those returning to pointe work and absolute beginners who have taken ballet class but have not been on pointe. Footwear: pointe shoes
